Senior Technician

About The Role

As a Senior Technician, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional events from concept to completion. You’ll lead and mentor a team of AV and Digital Technicians, providing guidance and ensuring the successful execution of events across the UK and internationally. This role involves both on-site event support and preparation in the warehouse, working closely with the project teams.

Responsibilities include

- Supervise and ensure accuracy in pre-event preparation.
- Assist the project management team in specifying equipment.
- Specify equipment for small to medium-sized jobs as directed.
- Manage equipment bookings using HireHop based on the event plan/spec.
- Liaise with clients and venue staff to ensure event requirements are met.
- Prepare equipment in the warehouse, including system testing.
- Handle warehouse duties such as picking and re-shelving equipment as directed.
- Lead the setup, rigging, and de-rigging of equipment within tight timeframes.
- Act as the responsible person on-site and lead teams, including freelancers and local crew.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
- Train, support, and mentor junior technicians.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies and company procedures.
-Undertake delivery and collection of equipment using company vehicles.

About you

- Ability to understand and interpret technical plans and execute tasks effectively.
- Comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
- Competent in rigging without supervision.
- Strong leadership skills and a team-oriented approach.
- A positive representative of the company in all interactions.
- Must have a full UK driving license.
