Are you an experienced and driven professional with a passion for sales and business development in the live events industry?

As our Business Development Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of Sparq’s growth, playing a critical role in acquiring new clients, identifying opportunities, and driving revenue growth. Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Director, this role is all about expanding Sparq’s reach, building strong relationships with prospects, and representing our brand as a leader in the live events space.

This position is ideal for a self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven individual who thrives on the challenge of winning new business and shaping the future success of Sparq.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

- Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities by attending industry events, researching market data, and engaging with potential clients.
- Develop strategies to connect with key decision-makers within prospective client accounts and build meaningful relationships.
- Take ownership of the sales process from initial contact to closing deals, ensuring a seamless and professional approach.
- Create and deliver persuasive pitches and proposals that highlight Sparq’s capabilities and creative solutions.
- Actively promote Sparq’s marketing campaigns and branded initiatives to enhance market visibility and increase client engagement.
- Maintain a strong industry presence by attending events, networking with influencers, and staying informed about market trends and competitor activities.

 

Sales Strategy and Performance

- Generate and manage a robust pipeline of opportunities, consistently working to exceed sales targets.
- Monitor and report on sales performance, providing accurate forecasts and insights to the Sales and Marketing Director.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align sales strategies with Sparq’s business goals and objectives.

 

Market Research and Insights

- Conduct market research to identify emerging opportunities and industries where Sparq can expand its offerings.
- Leverage insights to inform strategic decision-making and improve sales approaches.

 

About You

We’re looking for a dynamic and ambitious individual who brings:

- Proven experience in business development within the live events or related industries, with a track record of winning new business. (Minimum 5 years)
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and influence decision-makers.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of creating compelling pitches and proposals.
- A strategic mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities and align them with Sparq’s services.
- A results-driven attitude, thriving in a fast-paced, target-oriented environment.
- High levels of commercial awareness and an analytical approach to evaluating opportunities.
