As our Business Development Executive in Scotland, you’ll play a vital role in expanding Sparq’s presence across the region. Reporting to the Business Manager you’ll focus on acquiring new clients, promoting Sparq at networking events, and supporting the team in driving business growth. This is a dynamic desk-based role ideal for someone with a passion for identifying opportunities and delivering results.

Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities within Scotland through desk-based prospecting, networking events, and strategic outreach.
- Build strong relationships with prospective clients and key decision-makers to generate leads for the Business Manager.
- Promote Sparq’s services and branded initiatives to potential clients, increasing awareness and interest across the region.
- Prepare and deliver engaging pitches and proposals that highlight Sparq’s capabilities.
- Hand over secured new clients to the wider team, ensuring a seamless transition and exceptional customer journey.
Market and Regional Growth
- Support the Business Manager in implementing strategies to grow Sparq’s presence in Scotland.
- Actively participate in networking opportunities and industry events to build connections and promote Sparq’s offerings.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential industries for expansion in Scotland.
About You
We’re looking for an ambitious and proactive individual who brings:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a business development role, preferably within the live events or a related industry.
- A degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
- Excellent interpersonal, networking, and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence decision-makers.
- A results-oriented mindset with a proven track record in securing new business.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, ensuring a professional approach to sales processes.
- Desirable: An event and technical background or knowledge of the live events industry.
