Are you an experienced Account Manager with a passion for building strong client relationships and delivering exceptional event solutions?

As a senior member of Sparq’s Client Services team, you’ll play a pivotal role in nurturing and growing key client accounts while identifying new opportunities to drive business growth. Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Director, this role combines strategic account management with hands-on involvement in event delivery, making it ideal for an ambitious, commercially focused professional.

This position is perfect for someone who thrives on managing mid-to-large accounts, mentoring junior team members, and contributing to the success of a high-performing sales team.

Key Responsibilities

Account Management

- Manage a portfolio of mid-to-large accounts, acting as the primary point of contact for key corporate clients.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring exceptional service levels and client satisfaction.
- Develop and implement robust account strategies and client mapping focused on retention and growth.
- Work closely with clients to understand their business objectives, delivering tailored solutions that align with their goals.
- Actively identify opportunities to expand within existing accounts and secure additional revenue streams.
- Represent Sparq as a trusted advisor, showcasing industry knowledge and experience.

Business Development

- Actively seek new opportunities within existing and prospective accounts to support Sparq’s growth.
- Assist the sales team in identifying and securing new business, contributing to revenue targets.
- Deliver persuasive pitches and proposals that align with client needs and Sparq’s capabilities.

Team Leadership and Collaboration

- Mentor and support junior team members, sharing expertise to foster skill development.
- Collaborate with creative and technical teams to ensure event proposals are technically feasible, innovative, and aligned with client briefs.
- Provide feedback to senior leadership on client insights and market trends to inform strategic decisions.

Commercial Awareness

- Maintain a strong understanding of client budgets, ensuring commercial viability in all proposals.
- Monitor account performance and provide accurate forecasts to senior leadership.
- Drive client engagement with Sparq’s full range of services, including AV production, creative concept development, and technical delivery.

About You

We’re looking for a dynamic and strategic professional with:

- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a similar role, with a proven track record in account management and sales within the events industry.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the live events sector, with technical production and creative event expertise preferred.
- Relationship Building: Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers and build meaningful client relationships.
- Commercial Acumen: A commercially focused mindset, with experience managing budgets and exceeding revenue targets.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to mentor junior team members and contribute to the growth of the wider sales team.
- Organisational Skills: Strong multitasking abilities to manage multiple accounts and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence in pitching and delivering proposals.
